Back to Black

I love an all black look.  As a Musician and a New Yorker, it probably comes with the territory...but no matter where you live or what you do, it can be elegant anytime of year, slimming, and so versatile.  Try breaking up the monochrome look a bit with my favorite thing....accessories.

Here's one of my all black get-ups that is professional but still cool and creative.

Using different materials and textures also makes a monochrome look seem more interesting.

A chunky belt can help break things up a bit

And a big necklace with elegant earrings completes the look.  I love vintage clip earrings (partially out of necessity since I tore an earlobe years ago...ouch) but also because they are timeless and unique.  I find most of my clips at thrift stores...and often times the ones that I get the most compliments on have cost less than $20!

And finally, a classic black pump and a great bag never go out of style!  I love these pumps with duel patten leather and suede textures.
